UNION COUNTY, S.C. ? A Union County deputy responded to a complaint about an obscene snowman, and despite disagreeing with the deputy, the snowman maker eventually agreed to remove the offending body parts.

Monday morning, a deputy spoke to the 45-year-old man who lives on Buffalo Westsprings Highway about the dyed-pink, male genitals on the snowman in his yard.

According to the police report, the man told the deputy that the snowman was on his private property, so he believed he could display the snowman with the pink parts left in place.

The deputy told the man he could either remove the genitals or be charged if he refused. The man said he disagreed, but he removed the offending parts from the snowman to avoid arrest.

Personally, if i had kids and i drove by his house and saw that i would be ****ed. Especially if one of my kids saw it and asked about it. The guy is 45 years old... i mean come on dude grow up.

I agree with basketballguy. Also, just because it is your property doesn't mean that its right to do stuff like that. I mean, if you were to put a huge penis on your car (which is your personal property) and drive it down the road, you would get in trouble for that too. I don't believe you can go outside nude and have sex on your property either, I know thats not what this guy did but with his argument of "its my property I can do what I want" ,I don't believe you can..

Parents lie to their kids all the time about things like that, the kid more than likely would just say "okay" and forget about it...harmless joke, didn't bother anyone.

Well i hope i do not make it a habit by lying to my kids. I mean really for a grown adult to do something like this in public is ridiculous.

Call it being uptight or whatever but it just boils down to having respect for others. You may not understand about having kids since you don't have any but I don't make it a habit to lie to my son who is three. I don't think that is a good habit for parents to get themselves into, of course, I am not trying to tell anyone how to raise their children. What really is the point in having a penis on a snowman anyway other than to get his name in the paper. that wold be like me going outside right now and putting a vagina and breasts on my snowman (snow woman) and my neighbors not liking it, what is the point??
